msd btm

I have a msd btm that I bought off a member on nico. I was wondering if I needed a msd blaster to install this item or if it will just work? Does anyone know of a good write up anywhere?

Call MSD tech support. They'll give you the diagram and information you need.

At least, that's what I did when I had one.

here is the install guide: http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/frm23950.pdf if your upgrading the box you may as well just upgrade to a blaster ss coil too. only like 30 or 40 bucks.

I went to the mechanic and he wouldnt install it he was to scared he would mess something up. So he didnt install it. The only wires he said that needed to be installed is green and violet. Also the ground then the other 2 had to be installed to the controller is this correct?

if u have a s14, u are going to have to bypass the internal coil to run the MSD blaster coil. the write-up on how to do it on the Jim Wolf's site.
