heres something to think about, after installing the btm and afc on my mr2 i noticed something interesting while tuning.. this applies to ka's obviously...
the btm retards timing per psi using a internal vacuum source , thats its only job. now the afc adds fuel by modifying the map or maf signal to tell the ecu the engine requires more fuel by doing this it also retards the timing.. so +5 fuel = -.25* timing. so by using the afc your retarding your timing. at 1 psi with the btm set at 1* the engine needed +15 points of fuel which then equaled -1.75* retardation (which equals the engine falling on its face lol)
so anyone have any input on why you would need to run both seeing as how the afc pulls timing?
