I have been thinking about buying a MSD 6AL ignition for my S14. My only mods right now are intake, test pipe, and cat-back exhaust. I plan on putting a turbo on my KA in the future. I have a friend who thinks that the MSD ignition box will do NOTHING at all for my car. I naturally think differently. So what I'm looking for is some responses from people who actually have a upgraded ignition on their cars. Did it make any difference in power, gas mileage, throttle response, etc???

MSD is a good upgrade for overall function: gas mileage, cleaner and more complete burn, steady idle, etc. However, it is not a good item for HP gains. MSD is good to compliment cam, turbo, nitrous, and such upgrades.

MSD by itself = 3-5 hp max
