how do you put on a MSA Type 2 airdam for a 81 280zx

with the stock mounting hardware? I believe they are designed to work witht he stock bits on the 81-83, 79-80 cars might have to swap bits form later cars, MSA has great customer service, if you give them a call they'll be happy to answer all your questions, and if you tell them you are in your local Z club they'll even discount non sale prices

Take off any rubber surround to expose just the metal crash bumper with lights.Remove the crash bumper and loosen the small screws in the end of each bumper shock to release the air pressure inside.

Trim the fiberglass bumper a little around the edges as needed. Slightly on each side near the fender (1/8 inch), a little more under the headlight buckets. Then fit the bumper all the way back. Open the hood a little until it contacts the front bumper. Mark it with a line where you need to cut the fiberglass.Remove the fiberglass air dam and trim it to clear the hood. Re-install and then paint.

trimming areas are below the red. Basically almost the entire top edge
