Been lookin' at the MS II and seriously considering using it. It's $400 and has an onboard GM 3 bar MAP setup, full timing and fuel control, and aux. inputs (could convert completely to speed density).

Any suggestions on this? Pros? Cons?

Thanks!

Get it, well worth the price.

When building your harness you will want to leave provision for the routerboard that will soon debut. You could just wait around for it to get them as a package, although you could run a straight up ms2 in the meantime.

If you have an s13 I would be glad to share wiring information to allow you to completely replace you original ecu, and plug your new ms/harness right into the oem nissan fuse/relay box.

Another interesting tidbit-I have been helping Bruce Bowling gather information for the new MAF-based ms2 code, and that will be available shortly as well. Nissan MAF's will have full support in the initial release, along with the cobra/lightning unit.

Nissan CAS will also soon have direct support in conjunction with the GPIO hardware. Currently there are a few users running this combination but it will become native shortly.

I do indeed have an S13 DOHC engine. I'm currently building it for 400+whp, and it should be complete and ready to install in about 3 weeks. The SAFC2 and 370's will be takin' a hike and I'll source some 700's and probably the MS2. It's just such a solid looking platform and for the money, can't beat it.

I'll get with you on the wiring when I pick up the MS2.

Thanks again!

oh btw, GM map sensor is an option, but the supported motorola map sensors are very nice, and I believe there are versions that can support up to 3 bar. The base motorola sensor is 2 bar iirc.

Staying high impedence with the injector will make things easier, are you going top feed?

The best injectors I have found lately in large sizes are the top feed venoms. The series 5 rx7 type (fit) cant be beat imho, and good prices up to 1000cc.

Haven't decided yet whether to go top feed or sidefeed, but either way I'm staying with saturated injectors for sure. I don't want to mess with peak/hold injectors and resistors and kanooter valves and such.
