Okay Whitey, no need to get yourself all worked up into a froth. I am glad that it is not running lean. I say that it is uncommon to hook up a wideband, then to unhook it, well, because it is. Usually you buy one and leave it hooked up.

You will know because you will get a CEL light, and code P0171 ( bank 1 too lean) and P0174 (bank 2 too lean)?
Okay, so what car has dual widebands? The G35? Stock? If so, I was cheated, because I don't have an A/F ratio gauge in my car. I am fully aware that the ECU monitors the A/F ratio and on both banks, but that is not a wideband. That is caled OBD2.
Here is a link to many wideband A/F meters
As far as the article from everythingg35, I had never read it. I know a fair amount about Nissan products, and happen to believe in what the manufacturer of a product (motordyne) says, when they say don't do this. So we were all wrong. Good. I am glad it works for you.
I'm not trying to be a prick. I want good information, and at the start of this thread, you said "Nah I dont have wideband hooked up, I dont even know what it is." and the reason I said to find a mechanic that speaks english is because you said something about "not understanding them, because they weren't speaking english" however you edited that part "Modified by WhiteyClay at 6:49 PM 9/18/2007".
I have no hard feelings at all, I just want good valid info, for myself and others, especially before I go drop a few hunderd bucks on an intake setup. I am glad it works, and I am sure that you feel we were being "haters?" or whatever. I am not "hating" on you I just want facts. Plain and simple. Looks like we know now.
