its a bottom mount. i have it, and its worked fine for me so far. it put the turbo eactly in the stock spot, so you dont have to worry about any of the other piping.

obviously not hard enough but ill be nice

no, the iron stock is better, just bore it out and thermal coat it or cough up the money and get the good stuff

mr shows minimal improvemnt, mostly for looks and sound

most after market mani clears ac and ps

well cuz i was lookin at TF and the peak boost manifold said it clears the AC and pwoer steering lines... so i was just wonderin if this one did... but the peak is like $850...

got any reccomendations?

how's SSAC? ppl tell me yes... some no...

some say as long as the part doesn't move and is stationary...

are you looking for a Top Mount manifold or stock mount? Top Mount and Stock mount are two different beasts. Top Mount is for big turbo setups. Bottom Mount is for smaller setups (usually).

Well I had the MR bottom mount manifold and the flange must have been warped cause i had an exhast leak that wouldn't quit. 3 ehxaust gaskets later i went back to stock and been leak free.

As for SSA, I bought the SSA N1 dual catback clone, stainless steel and after 6 months it ripped 2 half-dollar size holes where the hangars were welded to the exhaust. My friend had the same catback and a week later his hangar's cracked. Both cars been on the road for less then a year.

If you can just buy the quality stuff in my opinion.

the MR manifold doesn't let you keep the stock catch can on the S13 redtop SR either. Other than that, they aren't bad.

I used the megan and it leaked about 1500 miles into the install. I had sold the car and I dont know if the guy had any other issues, but it never leaked with me just after he got it!/? go figure...

if you use one of the cheaper manifold make sure you anchore your exhaust to the mount on the transmission. this will help prevent stress on your manifold when the exhaust moves.

The MR Manifold is fine. No cracks, stock placement, nice sound. No exhaust leak. Although, i wouldnt touch any of their other products.

I ran the MR mani with a gt28r and the only problem i can across was it being a bit** to pull the manifold off the car with out the turbo because the bolts that bolt the mani and turbo together are a BiT!@ to get at when its in the car.. The way i found out this was when i was driving down the road and my car decided to get louder and lose boost and power.. Well my manifold and turbo seperated.. So yah in the end its a biznatch to bolt those two together when there in the car but other than that it was a strong mani and it worked fine... ::Think lock washers and thread lock!::

Ive been running mine for 3 months now with no problems at all. It made a big difference in top end power compared to the stock manifold. 2871R .86 turbo @ 16psi, i trapped 114mph on the stock manifold, upgraded to the Megan and traps went up to 117mph. Thats almost a 25whp gain just from a new manifold. Extrude Honing the stock manifold would do the same thing.
