I read somewhere (and had a salesman told me) that the 6 cd disc changer is able to read mp3's. I burned a cd with mp3s in regular format, without changing it to wav files like u would for normal cd players, and tried to play it in the car.

The cd player gave me a "no audio file" error. That message was stuck in the screen the whole time (even after I took all the cd's out), until I restarted the car, when it finally went away.

My questions are:

1. Does this cd player read mp3s or was what I read about this cd changer playing mp3's referring to the ipod interface?

2. How do I make error messages like the "no audio file" or "insert cd" go away? There's no way to get rid of messages without having to put a cd in or restarting the car to shut the cd player off??

I searched the forums, but could not find any subject with these issues

My car is a 2008 g35x

I would have thought it would. I know my '03 doesn't, but my old '07 Versa did. Does it not have the MP3 logo on the front of the radio somewhere?

My '07 Versa did, but my G35 is an '03 so wasn't available then. Possible that the MP3 radio was an option for yours and yours doesn't have it, but other with more knowledge on those things should be dropping by.
