want to hook up my mp3 player to my factory Bose unit (95 Q) with out using a fm modulator or tape deck input ? i found 2 companies that distributeproducts that hook up to cd harness but none for my car any help?

Cassette adapter. That's what I do.

I use the cassette adapter for my XM

James, do you have a CD changer hooked up? i had an idea to splice into the pre outs for the CD change.r

wes sounds like a good ideas run it in parallel i assume the fsm has the wireing info??

Yeah, something like that. The FSM doesnt have it, but I have the wiring diagram on my computer somewhere that shows the pinouts...

What I would do is run some 2 way switches.. Flip it one way for the CD changer, and the other way for the MP3..

The tape sounds just good enough for me...

Lyndhurst, cool. Not many local Nico Q guys in NJ. We should defiantly hang. The cassette adapter sounds fine. It's not an elegant solution, but FM transmitters are crap. You can try the way Wes suggest. That sounds good.

You could really make the casette adapter look slick... Assuming you never watned to take it out, you could run the wire behind the display face, as it is removeable.... Kinda tough to remove it but it can be done...
