is there a cheap solution to play mp3 cd's in the I30? i dont wish to replace the in dash cd player and i cant seem to find any mp3 cd changers that can hook onto the bose system. using an fm transmitter degrades the audio a lot because my power antenna is stuck at the lowest spot because the motor is broken. its my first post here so thanks for any help.

Welcome to NICO!

Do you have a disc changer? If so, tap in to that to make a new plug and get you an mp3 player. That will be your best solution.

Does your I30 have disc and tape? If you have tape, just use a tape adapter. You'll get good quality sound and the adaptors are cheap. You can even find bluetooth tape adapters which eliminates the wire stringing from the headunit (assuming your mp3 player is bluetooth capable...some aren't out of the box but have bluetooth attachments available.

im not a huge fan of the bluetooth thing because bluetooth ad2p degrades sound quality by recompressing using 128kbps. most of my mp3s are encoded as 320k mp3s and i hate to lose quality specially when the bose set is pretty good. my tape deck head is beyond dirty because the sound from it is just ridiculously bad. i dont think its ever been used since it was bought nor has it been cleaned.

i have no idea where the cd changer is located, just got the vehicle from my uncle. the manual mentions that its an optional upgrade but doesnt even mention where its located or how to ise it. i dont think it has one, no box in the trunk and none under the seats.

where can i find the guides to installing one? ive seen ebay sellers selling them for like $50 each and that can fix my mp3 problem. instead of having one disk with 100 mp3s i can have a couple regular cds with 15 songs or so each.

There are inline units like the PAC unit and USA-Spec unit which allow RCA out and ipod connectivity.
