I've got a Sony Mp3 CD deck in my car right now and it displays the ID3 tag information embedded in Mp3s. It also displays folder names.

How does the Mp3 CD player in the Versa handle Mp3 discs? Will I get the ability to view folder names and ID3 tag information?

It's great when you've got the entire discography of a band on one CD and can flip through folders containing each album and easily being able to find what you're looking for.

Yes, using the DISP button will flip between various information.

The Versa's stereo will not automatically switch between information types, so if you want it to display, say, song same AND folder, you have to switch between the two.

Yes, it's no problem. I've burned a half-dozen or so MP3 disks for my Versa and it does recognize and display the folder names, song titles, albums, and artist names. I've even digitized some of my old LPs. It's absolutely marvelous to be able to pack ~15 or so albums onto a single disk.

The one drawback I've enountered is that the Versa's MP3 player doesn't recognize the "Playlists" generated by the PC tools I use. I ended up writing a quick workaround program.
