Moving To Yokuska Japan looking for information on skylines and prices

I am moving to yokuska japan in 4 months with the navy i am looking to own my first skyline I was wondering if anyone had any information about the area if anyone has one available reasonalbe prices for one over there and importing back to the states. I will be stationed over there for 3 years so if anyone can help me out that would be great

I found some skylines gt-r34 for sale on a japaneese web site a while back, and the price for a good car with low km was $34000.

Are you gonna be shore duty or on a ship. Also, what is your rank? The reason I ask, is because unless they have changed the rules, E4 and below can't own a car unless married.

I have a couple of good friends down there as well. One guy is a civilian that works for the govt, the other is attached to the carrier. Once you get over there, let me know and I'll get you in contact with my friend Marc. Funny guy, knows his Nissans. Stay away from Gary, he's gay...lol (Not really, but we all say he is.)

Im stationed on cvn73 the gw we are replacing the kitty hawk over there since im a nuke ill be over there for a while we are moving into yokuska around july (we leave norfolk in early april) i am an E5 ill be on the advanced planning team for our ship yard period so i might arrive before the ship does (they will probablly fly me off when we hit hawaii or california)

So, they were actually able to convice the Japanese government to let in a nuke carrier into Yoko, eh? Interesting.

Well, since you are an E5, you shouldn't have any trouble getting a car. Make sure you take the on base course to get your command license. You're lucky that you won't have to pay out the arse for sha-ken as the on base JCI is pretty cheap.

Anyway, once you get over here, be sure to get a hold of me, and I can put you in touch with a couple of good guys to help you out.

Have fun on mainland, I spent over 3 years in Oki but I had fun there too
