Moving to VA

Hello,

I'm going to be moving to Manassas, Virginia the second week in December. What's the scoop out there? I've only been out there for a few days at a time to visit my parents (they moved about a year ago) but I really don't know the area at all.

Are there a few 240 owners who can show me the local autocross tracks, ect?

hey,I live in Winchester which is almost an hour away from Manassas but I go there occasionally to see my friends. You should go check out Old Dominion Speedway when you get a chance its about 15 to 20 minutes away from I-66. They had a drift competition at old Dominion over the summer it was pretty sweet . Not sure on any autocross areas though unless you go to the Manassas mall parking lot where I believe some events get held there now and then, but I'll ask my buddy if he knows of any places. I'd be glad to show you around but i rarely find the time to drive out there, but i'm sure my friend probably wouldnt mind showin you around though he lives right in the center of Manassas pretty much.

going to become a Manasholian eh? I hail from Dale City myself. The place has changed a lot since I left, I got lost last time I was home. I can tell you that Electromotive is right there in Mannasas.

There really isnt nothing great in Manassas Actually nothing in VA really. I live about a minute from Manassas. Theres a huge JDM engine importer - biggest on east coast I believe, There arent any road courses/autox events around here really. The closes would probably Summit Point - West VA about an hour and a half away. There is also a pretty big chill spot in Manassas (BK off 28). Other than that there really isnt much.

Movin' to VA huh? I think that is a pretty nice state. I can't help ya out with the car scene around there, but I can give you a word of warning. That state has some crazy @$$ driving laws. Like, 80+ mph is automatically a ticket for reckless driving. Good luck in VA and watch out for the cops!
