So im planned to move out to san diego the second wekk of jan. and was wondering how many 240's are in that area? Im giving up my baby (1990 240sx fastback w/SR20DET redtop) and flying out. So im stuck with taking public transit untill i can find a car, hopfuly another 240. But just wanted to say whats up and hope to check out some of your rides when i make it out there.

Well, welcome to Cali when you get here, but be prepared to deal with MUCH TOUGHER car laws. Police will be more strict about your engine, mods and car in general.

And, why do you have to sell your car? Drive over Or just pay cash and worry about it being damage while it get shipped.

Road trip man! Don't leave your baby.

Anyways, there are plenty of 240s in SD. Let us know when you land!

Be sure to check out other topics too for SD meets or around your place.

Well the car isnt the strongest and i need the money cauz dont know how long i will be jobless when i get there?.. anyone know of openings as full time work?. But im going to be living by the Q so i should be able to check out some of the events. Im looking to just get a s14 and keep it stock untill i have the money to build up the engine. Plus I need to know what to watch out for as moding and smog. I wish i could drive but no time to get it running right and the chasis is rusted so it wouldnt make sense to have it in Cali. I was thinking of removing the motor and performance parts and ship that out to use but no garage or tools. so theres the plan so far.

Kinda put it this way. Any mod is pretty much illegal in Cali.

Intake, Exhaust, simple crap like that, if the cop is in the mood then he/she will ref you. But I think if it's registered in Min, then you should be fine.

I've been thinking of selling my car to my mom's fiance (cop) so it gets registered under the Sheriff's department and give the car back to me, haha.

So the place im moving into doesnt have garages now im trying to decide if to buy another 240sx due that i know its going to need mantnace and have no where to work on it. I guess i could take it some where but dont want to have to pay for something i could due my self. Do most of you here share garages or rent? How does that work for you out there. kinda a dumb question but im used to having a garge do to cold winters. Im still looking for a S14 so if anyone knows of one or where to find LMK.
