Hi everyone, im a member of NIcoClub for my 07 Altima 2.5 SL. I have been going to multiple dealerships and am most likely going to purchase my G37 by this weekend!!

Im really pumped, im going to get a 2008 G37 S.
Just wondering are there any problems that plague some G37's that i can look for to make sure there not a problem on the car i chose. (For example i know altimas have a seat issue where the seat vibrates, and i would look for that on a test drive)

Thanks for the help. Look forward to modding and chatting with you guys in the near future.

Problems I have had with my G.

Driver side power window going up - hitting the top and bouncing back down - fixed under warrantee.

Squeeling brakes - fixed under warrantee.

Rattle coming from the bottom of the windshield - fixed under warrantee.

Something in the gas tank that makes the gas nozzle cut off - fixed under warrantee.

Other than that I love it. It is a little luxe hot rod that turns every head in town. :yesnod

You'll have a huge problem after you buy it. You won't be able to stop looking at the damn sexy thing. You will start walking backwards in the parking lot so you can leave your eyes on your baby a little longer and the biggest one will be you can't take the evil smile off your face when you hit the gas.

You will be looking for more oportunity to drive it (yest it includes the milk run to the store after midnight). LOL

I thought I was the only person that walked backwards from my car in a parking lot. :naughty:

going to the dealership tonight at 7:15. For some reason they just dropped the price online down to 20,995. So 2008 G37 Sport, nav and all that for 20,995 financeed. I feel that's a great deal.

The one pretty big problem is that it is a automatic. Ive been wanting a manual for awhile now, however i do live in New York, so a automatic is terrible. Some reviews ive read have mentioned feelings that the auto G is really not as great as the stick...Any thoughts??

i had a 2005 G35x with the 5 speed auto, and now the 2010 g37x with the 7 speed auto... the only complaint ill give is the transmission "thinking" on a quick down shift when you want to accellerate again when you were just coming to a stop. It doesnt happen all the time just enough times that you notice it... It only happens under those conditions, slowing down about to be at a complete stop and then you give it gas and it "thinks" for a half a second then picks the right gear though.

other than that its very smooth and quick on the gear shifts and has a real manual mode. the manual mode (from DS) will let you hit and stay at the rev limiter, no automatic up shifts, so you in full "control". Great auto trannys IMO.

Well drive both. I think the manual in the g is not up to the standard Infinit is pushing. Could be just me. Try both and see if you actually like both.

i know what you mean by that, on my alti, the cvt seems to have that exact problem, except when you couple that with no horsepower it really screws you. For example slamming on your breaks then tryint to speed up so a car doesnt hit you from behinde. Not a good situation. but wit over 340 bhp that shouldnt be a problem anymore hahah
