Moving from Sacramento to Phoenix

I know there's a handful of folks that have AZ and Phoenix as their home bases on this forum. I'm moving next month to the Phoenix area and will be working in downtown Phoenix and driving my G for business about 50/50. I'm gonna rent a vacation home temporarily but will eventually buy a home. Budget is around 250k and would love a pool. Where's the best parts of Phoenix to look?

I'd also like some clues for best places to service my G and my sportbike. I do most of my own maintenance and service but there are times when I'll hand over my babies to the pros.

Infiniti on Camelback has a pretty good service dept.

Depending if you have to worry about schools for children or not Downtown/Midtown Phoenix can be a great place to live without having to commute in from the suburbs.
