Saturday Morning 10 am

New Years Day.

Just 24 hours earlier my place had been alive, full of furniture and friends.

Now its just an empty shell..

... and as I drive off into the pouring rain ,with U2's "Joshua Tree" playing on the stereo, I feel such a deep and profound sense of loss....

Fred..

Sunday, all day.

Bel Air, Aberdeen, Edgewood .. all in Maryland..

I drive around these strange towns all day, looking for a place to live and to get a sense of the land so I wont get lost too easily...

...and I wonder if the better job title and the 5k raise is worth it all.

I had some of the best times of my life here, never before has a move hit me this much before

Are you following me Fred??I just moved from Louisville to MD this summer. I like the DC area much better than Luhvul. There's a lot to do out here. I think you'll like it.But leaving all your friends sucks...

Fred - It's an okay place. I spent quite a few years of my life in the Ellicott City, Arnold, Pasadena, Glen Burnie & Annapolis. No offense to anyone in Balt County, but I prefer the Arnold/Annapolis area. You wouldn't want to live all the way down there and commute to the Proving Grounds everyday, but a nice day trip to the City Docks in Annapolis and the surrounding area would be some time well spent in the Z.

Also, with your appreciation for history, don't pass up Wash DC and all it has to offer. It's a good place, but moving anywhere this time of year can seem gloomy.

We'll always be here .

Yeah I feel the same way. After going back to Washington for Christmas break, I am questioning my move to Ireland.

Hey Fred, glad you got moved ok (I had my daughter all weekend). As much as we'll miss you here in the `Ville, I'm sure you'll meet some cool new friends in MD. I'm also quite confident that the NICO enrollment from that state will be increasing exponentially. Best of luck at your new job.

Best wishes to you Fred. We'll miss you here in Derby City.

I'm sure you will disagree but living in/around DC is not worth a $5K raise. I think you'll find that compared to Louisville's cost of living $5K wasn't a raise at all.

I'll be at a training class outside of Philly all next week (with rental car). I wouldn't mind having a few beers in Baltimore (~100 miles) one evening. Anything I can bring you from Louisville that you may have forgotten?

Ty:

I dont have aplce for my Ammo yet the shipper didnt wanna ship it.Dane may pick it up fromhome for me.Am currently in Lexington to get some stuff done.

I will be 40 milews north of Baltimore so cost of living shouldnt be an issue too much, even house prices are less here than just 30miles south (tho still more than Lville or even Etown)

I wasn't trying to make a "love" connectino, I was trying to make a NICO connection. I think sky autocrosses and that would be a good way for Fred to spend his free time in the 350Z .

I'm traveling commercial air between Louisville and Philadelphia, so I don't think I'll be bringing that to ya.

You're in Louisville this weekend though, right?

Palmer: When you get settled in, post.

IWannaS15, 2BN_S13, and myself are all in the area. So is Maximus Nismo, although I haven't met him yet. Come hang out.
