Moving a CA Q45 to cincinnati

Hi ,

I'm in a dilemma. I have to move to cincinnati for work and my Q45 has an injector problem.Dang.

Injectors #5 and #6 are goners.

Is this a big deal or is this a serious sign that the car is nearing its end?

Its a 94, q45 with 150K on it, CA model.

I have a few options

1> to sell the car as is and move to cincinnati [buy another in cincy]2> Repair the car [ - $880 according to the quote]3> Take the car to cincy and get it repaired there

the car is to moved from california, Santa Clara. The move would set me bakc by a 1000$ approx which my company would re-imburse.

If moving it is a good option, will this CA model perform good there?What do i need to take care of before moving it?

Please advise.

AZ gas is only gas worse than CA gas. Don't know if OH has ethanol, but I bet it is nearby.

just get the injectors fixed and you should be fine.

Injector replacement is just part of mainteance and repairs NOW..........part of rich people owning an old Q.

If one or more injectors fail due to your selection of gasoline then others will probably fail unless you stop feeding the defective fuel.

I believe BG44k is somewhat protective assumming you don't introduce more ethanol after the cleanup.

Currently we see problems with the redesigned 94 and later injectors but the sample size is just too small to make a blanket statement.
