It's coming out the same day as Saw VII (I can't believe they're making another) on October 22nd is what I read.

I cant wait for the second one! It will probably suck though like most scary movie sequels do.

Haha, they should do more stuff like that in front of anything Twilight-esque.

On another note, the first one wasn't all that scary (then again I was drunk while I watched it) and from the trailer, This one doesn't really look like it will be much better.

First one wasn't scary at all. Didn't really understand the hype of it being "one of the scariest movies of all time." Second one doesn't look any more promising either.

Yeah they shouldn't play it for the Twilight crowd but it isn't scary.

And Saw 7 and Paranormal 2...
Some one shoot these movies in the face.

I was actually having a discussion about ghosts with someone a few weeks back and they tried to use the first movie to support their position that ghosts exist. It is amazing what some people will believe. I never saw the first one, and likely wont see this one either. This isn't really the type of movie that does it for me.

To be honest, the first movie wasn't scary at all. It was barely entertaining. It was like the longest youtube v-log ever. MAYBE the scariest part was at the end when the chick throws the dude and then flies at the camera, but that wasn't even scary either. Me and my girlfriend were just cracking jokes at all the failed hype scenes the whole time. This new one looks just as disappointing.

I'll raise my hand and say I loved the first Paranormal Activity. So much done with so very little, and absolutely necessary to pull the future of horror film-making back from the brink that is overproduced gore-fest chuck-factor. Same reason I liked Blair Witch.

Trailer is not scary but proves that most anyone who saw "Twighlight" is a p****.

I agree with Encryptshun on that they did make a very popular movie with hardly anything which deserves a nice applause. However when I saw it (in my house alone btw), I wasn't scared at all. The only reason I got a bit nervous during it was towards the end because I figured it was about to end and something very climatic was about to unveil. Unfortunately, it wasn't anything to hype over.

I will most likely see the second one when it comes to blu ray / dvd but not in the theaters, same with Saw. I'm over those movies. I do like gore and the like but sometimes you just have to say "Alright, that was a good run. Let's start something new." Then you may have an audience left in 5 years if you want to make another.

But what do I know, I'm no producer or marketing exec. I'm just tired of s*** movies being released constantly, comedies are finally revamping their style and it's turned out quite nice. If Paranormal can make something truly scary that'd be wonderful.
