Mounting thoery

Has anyone that has done costom mounts. Tried putting a dent in the firewall for the starter like they do with the mount kits? I think if you do that and move the motor back you can get it to fit perfect. I've been useing a modified plate setup that I haven't seen anyone else do yet. Works great with the stock cross member. And my hood does hit the throttle body.

Here's how I mounted mine. This stepped design allowed me to use the stock ka cross member and I didn't have to cut the hood.

no this is the stock ka cross member and the rb cross member. I ordered a digital camera I'll get some better pic this week.
