I too would really appreciate this! I asked a couple times in other related threads but no bite...

There are many aftermarket products for backup camera setups. I think that would probably be the best route.

Sorry, Should have been more specific. The piece of the trunk with the cut for the camera. Unless it's something that's on every model.

That would be the trunk finisher and I got mine from the dealership but at Nissan cost and it was still damn expensive!

Infinitipartsusa.com has the part .... $75.11 + shipping :tisk:

Whatever your solution, keep us updated! I've been contemplating on adding a back up camera for a while too but I'm too lazy to do the homework haha..

I think you can probably modify your existing finisher.

The plan now is to get one of these cams off ebay and use it. Can you please post a pic of what it looks like with your finisher removed SHIFT_COUPE?

I have a 2.5s sedan and my ken wood camera looks exactly like oem. The piece on the trunk has an out line you can use to cut.

Any chance you could post pics of this? Nobody seems to have a shot of the trunk finisher.

He's basically saying that, if you do this, you should take pictures along the way, and write a DIY guide for others to follow. The results would be that you'd get ur guide published, and a custom title for the forums.

I would love a DIY guide for this mod too!

That shouldn't be a problem. I'd like to see what's under the finisher though to see what I'm mounting to. I got one of those little cams that looks almost like the factory. I guess when it gets here I'll do the install.

On the 3.5 w/ tech, the trunk lid has a cut out. When I reinstalled the OEM cam on the CF trunk lid I had to re-cut that opening but luckily I had the OEM next to me a a template :chuckle: I'm suspecting that you'll need to do some cutting depending on the unit and how its mounted

Mine's the 2.5. Think it has the marks for the cut?

It might. Only way to find out is to take the trim off and see. Let us know what you find out.

I wouldn't know for certain, but I imagine you could tap into where-ever the reverse light wires are for reverse?
