The nice thing about 240's is that they are no longer sold. Thus supply is limited, and so they will always be fairly rare.

Those mounts are probably upside-down. If you flip them over, I think you will see that you can put a bolt through one of the holes into your KA x-member and put your RB engine mount bolt through one of the holes at the other end.

I am clueless as to why there are 2 holes at each end... obviously there is only one engine mount bolt on each side of the engine.

Looks like ebay. Give a review when you mount it. Good luck. Did it come with bolts and rubber bushing?

The motor mounts bolt directly to the engine, and also bolt to the existing engine mount bushings on the KA x-member.

It uses all of the stock bolts as well.

I dont have it stabbed in yet. Still have some stuff to work on before it goes in.

Like I said, the guy guaranteed them to fit. The firewal has to be "modified" for the starter to clear.

unbolt the stock round mount off ka crossmember, and bolt in the new mount in place. just be self-resourceful...

Thanks, I think i have it figured out. I wont know for sure until I get ready to set the engine in. From what I see right now it uses the stock KA dampeners. I will probably just buy some new ones because these are in pretty bad shape.

Again thanks for the help.

If you are going to get new ones... go ahead and get the Nismo units (no since paying for stockers when the nismo ones won't cost much more).

I don't know if I ever stated it before, but if you only extend the mounting position forward from the stock KA x-member you will not need to cut the hood. I made my own, didn't have to make ones that bolt to the block, and I've had no problems. If those are the tophat ones that were also sold by Unstable Hybrids... I hope they don't break on you. Hybridone had his UH mounts crack so he had to retrofit his so that they were durable. You get what you pay for... good luck bud. Did this guy give his name? Just wondering. What's the thickness of the metal if you don't mind me asking?

I dont think they are tophat. The guy runs a performance shop in Augusta, Georgia. His name is Michael Wilson. They are 1/8".

Georgia and Mike I'm pretty sure equal Top Hat. Maybe he changed his design since Hybrid's broke... but the old ones were also made 1/8th" plate.

If it were me... I would use the measurements of the crossmember base plates and make your own 1/4" plates (I'd advise channeling them). I took my measurements using a R32 x-member as a ref., but you should still get a decent fitment if those were made with correct measurements. If you do that then you can use the stock Skyline engine mounts (the vert part connected to the block) and rubber isolators... shouldn't need to cut your hood at all with this method.

These are mine... they aren't pretty but they work really well so far.

What do you mean by channeling??

What part was breaking? The base plate?

Instead of using the little tab that is on your current mount.... make the plate into an upside-down "U" if you will... which is a channel... very strong structure.

The base plate is what broke on his car.

I added some bracing to the baseplates this week. I will try the channeling thing when i get my car back from the body shop this week. So far i have 3/8" plate steel to reinforce the baseplates. i also filled in the gap on the back of the brace that rests against the front of the xmember.

Hopefully the extra 3/8" will not affect the way the mounts sit too much. I do not expect them to.

These are not Top Hat mounts! These are Unstable copies. Top Hat mounts work very well if you know how to install them. Not to mention they are willing to help if you have problems.

The mounts Unstable Hybrids made were very thin and started to bend after about a month. So then your oil pan sat on your sway bar. Top hat redesigned the upper and lower mount so that the engine sat correctly in the bay not to mention they come with new the isolators.
