I was just wondering how you guys mounted your mp3 players, or iPods with the stock stereo... our dash has a weird texture so it seems impossible to stick stuff on it. i'm wanting to mount my mp3 player to the left of the HVAC controls so all i have to do is press the button on my mp3 player to change songs instead of using my cup holder to hold it and constantly having to pick it up to switch songs. when i have my cupholders filled, i end up having to put my mp3 player in the lil cubby by the shifter.

any ideas how i could do this? other than using 3m tape or velcro? thanks

I've had no luck on mounting but what works for me is the aux cable. I just bought like a 6ft one (which is very much so overkill) and ran it down to where the plastic meets under the hvac controls. then slipped it behind there (over the cubby and under all radio equipment in that voided space if you remove the plastic), then down the side to the plastic piece by your right knee, and it slips out right there where you can store it in the pouch on the seat.

It works for me until I get a real headunit to control my ipod. it is still sort of a pain having to flip through manually and take it out every time (especially if there are passengers that want to change music) but it's not as hard on the eyes as seeing a wire hang down in middle of everything. Plus nobody knows where the wire goes once it dissapears in the plastic, they always open up the cubby looking for it which can also give you a good laugh if you usually have passengers

lol yea, i just tuck my million foot cord down in between the passenger seat and the middle console... so much easier if we could mount it on the dash by the hvac controls... just 1 click away lol

It's pretty pricey but gives a clean look..recently found another company called Kuda..looks better than proclip..especially if you have leather interior..
http://www.kudausa.com/

Btw proclip usually have universal mp3 mount..
