Just changed my oil from semi syn to full syn motul 15w-50. My ca18det is freshly forged and balanced (Cps,spool rods, acl race bearings etc.) and running a Greddy T518z. So wanted a nice top quality oil.used elf run in oil for 800kms then went to castrol semi 10w-40. Was told 15w-50 or 10w-40 full syn would be good next so i grabbed the 15w-50 motul the other day as it was in stock at BNT. Seems to run good as on it...Has higher oil pressure than the old semi 10w-40 tho. Like 10psi more at idle (now at 40psi at 1300rpm instead of 30psi) What are you guys thoughts

higher viscosity = higher oil pressure. I've run 15W50 in my Nissan turbo motors for years so I can vouch for the weight. Motul is respected in the bike world so even though I use Motorex in mine, I can vouch for the oil.

Yea, 15w-50 is what I run in the summers and then knock it down to 10w-40 in the winters. Motul is reputable, so I don't know why it would pose any problems in the CA18.

Castrol GTX 10W-40 regular oil for me. just over 25psi @ idle (~1000rpm). You're good man.
