ok guys here are some pic's of my rb25det in my s13 vert.

i'm having a bit of a problem and was wondering if any of you guy's could give me some input on this.

i have a Koyo radiator and flex-a-lite fans. the problem is that the dont fit in side dose anyone know how i can make this work and still keep my a/c condensor? i have a tophat mount kit and if you have a slimer fan i can use i dont mind changing it out.

Thanks guys in advance hop you guys like the few pics i have.

I would agree with Kamin, but it looks like one of the AM peices anyway, does the wastegate end right at the DP's curve there? If it's not, then I agree, open ftw!

Well you could always get a custom radiator that would fit inside the core support and make it sit further back, that way you could run puller fans and probably still fit the condensor in front of that...

Ive also seen people cut the core support to fit the koyo's and others in deep enough to fit pullers, but i wouldnt advise going that route..

i just had this debate last weekend after i got my rb mounted up ...

its a shotgun choice with the likely hood of your NOT keeping the ac. im not sure how much the tophat mounts give your for clearance but even when i looked at cutting things to make my koyo fit (while still trying to keep the ac) i still couldnt make enough room let along posible hood clearance issues. in the end i took out the ac condensor and got fal-240 pusher fans ... no cutting and things fit fine.

there is the possible route of finding a VERY thin (like 1-1.5" thick blade) mechanical fan ... you know like the uber ugly factory white ones ?? that or see if the stock rad helps

iirc with most mount kits the clutch fan will clear, that will be your best bet.

For my s14 i bought 1 pusher for the rad and 1 puller for the condensor. Works great. BTW Tophat mounts... No Koyo... I'm using stock rad... Just put a 14 rad in... return thatt koyo!

I got a plumbed pipe sent to me, but i wanted a dumped one, so im going to cut it sometime soon after i get all the bugs worked out.

Yeah, aside from what everyone else has said, keeping an FMIC, Radiator and A/C condensor and fans, isnt happening. I removed every single a/c component of my car and i dont have heating problems ever now. 80 degrees celcius and 175 degree oil temp at near all times.

I respectfully disagree...I have working A/C on my s13 RB25 swap with a big *** FMIC, Koyo rad with modified radiator support to clear FAL's 12in fans as pullers. I've also got a pignose A/C fan mounted on the condenser as a pusher. Granted, I'm having some engine temp problems (running 80-90 C) in traffic with the A/C off in the S. FL heat but I'm working on some more bumper mods to increase airflow to the rad. I also have some ducting going on in the engine bay to force the air through the rad as it passes through the bumper. I have McKinney mounts so our clearances might be different.

It can be done but everything is a compromise... If I could do it all over again, I would have gotten a Griffin or C&R dual pass radiator that's thinner and more efficient than the humongous Koyo, which is supposedly only 30% better than the stock rad.
