the NEO was only R34

someone correct me if i get any of this incorrect, im not 100% up to snuff on my NEO engines

the NEO is different in these waysinjectorsturbovariable valve LIFT rather than variable valve TIMING pull type clutch

basically out of the box it makes about 35 more hp than a R33 RB25 but STOCK FOR STOCK will make more peak power when modded slightly.

That sounds like a killer deal for a Front Clip for a NEO engine.

unless its a neo VVL motor it does not have variable valve lift, else it would be a ve motor.the neo motors have c-vtc much like most newer nissan motors.

I think the heads or the cams on the NEO motors were a little different. Something like the heads flowed better and the cams were a little more aggressive, which is one of the ways they were able to pull 280ps out of them.

Not 100% sure, though, so don't bank on it.

There are 2 NEO engine used in the R34s.One has a std style intake manifold, the other is split.. the throttle body is over towards the turbo further and the inlet manifols splits after it and enters the plenum in 2 places.

No VVL on any RB.
