I recently ordered the 5/16 iso thermal copper plenum spacer from Motordyne. They had a small lot left of black anodized spacers that they made and were selling at a discount; picked mine up for $248 and it included shipping. Not sure how many they had left but if your considering doing this might be worth a call. It didn't bother me that it was black vs the regular "silver" color that they typically make.

FYI, I do feel a difference with spacer and Z tube (based on the butt dyno). Next step is to finish getting all the Megan exhaust parts and have them bolted on. Final goal is the UpRev....

That's pretty much the exact power setup I had (same spacer, z-tube, exhaust and UpRev). You'll love the car.

When you did UpRev did you do a dyno after? If so what kind of increases did you see after the UpRev? Since I'm looking at doing similar changes to what you did was curious on HP/TQ results you saw...

No I did not dyno tune. I had e-Tunes done by UpRev.

You should contact Seymore64 (member on here)...he can do it through email pretty well. He did my '11 M56x.

Guys, I got the basic 5/16 plenum spacer but then I've read some things about heat soak that got me worried a bit. Didn't install yet. Should I get additional aramid gasket or should I return and get a full iso/thermal? To be honest trying to be a bit economical and keep modifications to engine at minimum. I've read up that if it is warmer weather I can have decent gains in matters of MPG (which I would really like!) and horsepower using just basic plenum spacer. I'm a bit confused, any help would be appreciated

Copper/ISO Thermal is for cold weather climates. I think you'll be fine. If you aren't sure, call them and tell them where you live and they may be able to advise.

Ilya I agree with you, that is why I have taken basic not copper/iso. Main question that I can't seem to find definite answer to is about heat soak. Do we have any members that installed only basic and then installed aramid gasket and felt a difference?
