2006 Infiniti M45 Sport came in 2nd to 1st place 2005 BMW 545i in November issue. 3rd place went to 2005 Mercedes-Benz E500 and 4th to 2005 Cadillac STS V8.

Congratulations to BMW. 2nd place against an $8,000 more expensive car (options not yet included) is not bad at all. I'd feel bad if MB E500 performance does better than the M. I'll check the magazine this morning, unless you subscribers get the issue first.

Hmmm, I am going to have to find a copy of the latest issue ... it is not on their web site.

Yes, congrats to BMW, but I am honestly surprised! The 2006 M45 Sport is an awesome car, and, even price independent, I would rank it higher than the 545i.

Both cars have their strong points. Test results would be very subjective if you compare all mid sport lux sedans again and again. Shall we say... one all? http://www.roadandtrack.com/ar...ber=1

Oh, yeah! I read that comparison too! In fact, I have it linked in, in one of the stickies at NICO: zerothread?id=125885.

There is, of course, no doubt that once you cross a certain threshold of performance, all cars are excellent at that rarified level! Then it becomes a bit subject to individual driver preference!
