So my mounts are completely shot. One of them is completely broken and the other is almost there. So I am trying to find a good setup, however I do not know personally how each setup feels. I definitely don't want solid mounts because this is my daily as well and I enjoy not rattling all my bolts loose at stop lights. So I have a few setups.

#1: OEM Motor, OEM transmission, Engine Torque Damper
#2: OEM Motor, Poly transmission, Engine Torque Damper
#3: Poly Motor, Poly transmission, No Damper
#4: Poly Motor, Solid transmission, No Damper

If anyone could explain how much vibration each of these setups would have it would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards #2 or #3 but I am kind of sketchy on how severe vibrations poly motor mounts have on the chassis. I have only ridden in a car with solid mounts, which I didn't like. Also I have tried #1 setup, but since my mounts are shot my engine still moved a bit and I don't know how well brand new OEM mounts feel.

Positive opinions and no flames would greatly be appreciated. :bigthumb:

I'd go with option 3. That's what I have in my car and the vibration increase is minimal. Yea you feel it a bit in your steering wheel but it is by no means annoying. I'm running the Nismo engine mounts and a Peak Performance transmission mount (because nismo was out of stock). An engine torque damper wouldn't reduce your vibration since you are literally taking all the extra lateral movement from your engine and transferring it into the body of the car. Torque dampers are for engines that make a crapload of power and move around even with poly or solid mounts. That being said, your engine shouldn't move much with the poly mounts.

I know you said you don't want solid mounts, but I paid like $130 total for Xcessive Manufacturing's solid mount kit. Two ~four inch cylinders of aluminum for the motor mounts, and a ~1/4" thick steel plate for the trans mount. I really don't have much problems with it; the biggest one being the rear view gets kind of shaky, and it gets hard to identify cops.
