motor swap vk56de or rb26dett (350Z)

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

i know i'll get flame for this but who cares ! i like the vq35de nice motor but ,i always like to be different everyone has a turbo or supercharge vq35de but not everyone has a rb26dett or a vk56de in the 350z ?i know there like 3-6 350z have rb26dett and there is only 2 350z have vk56dei have found shop that on my350z.com which is a sponsor on that forum that will do the swap for 10000.00 vk56de tune 400 hp and 10000-12000 for the rb26dett price include the motors and installation which seem decent but now the hard part deciding which to do i will probably have 30000.00 to spend on the swap and tuning it for alot of power!give me some info. on your opinions even though if you want to flame thi thread ....information never hurts anybody

400 flywheel horespower or rear whel horespower?!?! It doesn't really matter even 400 rwhp is a joke for 10,000.

What's the name of the shop who will do this for you? there is no way that can be done the right way for 10K. Try doubling that.

It's your money... do with it what you want. If you have 30K and want to go fast that's not the way to do it.

I say just put the money into the vq. you will end up with a lot more power than that.

I was going to say that to, but decided not to. 30k can get you a lot of parts and still have a faster car than an engine swap.

Call Injected Performance for options on the VQ.

Car: lots of unique hot rods, and customs, with modern engines, and a good truck to pull the trailer.

That price, may be right if all parts are stock, from salvage. But overall, thats not alot of power increase for the weight increase.

Wana be different, go VH45, turbo if you need more power. Light, and powerful.

Go for the Nissan V-8 so you can be diffrent.

But I would take my $30,000 and go LSx-TTLS7 + Duel GT35s + T56 =

Do that to be diffrent. You will be the toast of the town.
