Welcome!
Well, there are a couple of 240's on the site that have have undergone or undergoing the swap you speak of.
But don't get to ahead of yourself if you don't have a chassis yet.
S13. . .S15. Whats wrong with the S14? You won't be finding a S15 anywhere really. . .they only made the car in Japan, so its very rare to see this vehicle.
Now, not saying you don't know, but in case of any confusion -
S13 chassis was in market from 1989 to 1994 in the States. 1995 to 1998 was the S14 chassis.
Now, I'm not too keen on the S13 chassis - I just know there is a couple bumpers everyone wants.
The two S14 body styles were as followed - or as best as I can describe.
S14 from 1995 to 1996 was considered the "Zenki". It has the headlights that could remind you of a late 90's early 00's model nissan maxima.
The S14 from 1997 to 1998 is considered the "kouki" body style. It has the "shark eye" or "angry" look. I find it more aggressive.
The S15 was the next body style and if I remember from my reading they stopped in 02? I don't pay them that much attention because I attempt not to get lost in my hopes. Because wants and gets are 2 different things.
Anywho - that chassis was only made in Japan.
Now. To topic. A mopar killer? The money you would be set back with the "dyno queen" toyota engine could put you more in budget doing a much easier swap.
Its EITHER KA-T, or SR20DET. KA stands for the stock engine that came in the U.S. model 240SX. SR is the Japanese engine.
The T at the end indicates "turbo". And there is PLENTY of information on this entire website, so please - don't ask which is better. Because that will only start another "KA-T vs SR20DET" thread. Which we begin to hate around here.
What horsepower are you looking for?
Just research man - I've explained as much as I can. But just know, having a 1J or 2J engine is only really there to be able to say, "Hey, I've got a "insert engine code" powering a 240!"
Good luck - and keep us updated.
