Motor Swap

Ok here is the situation. My KA just bit the dust, and I am looking for either a ca or sr to swap in. I am currently in college and i can spend approx. 2000 dollars on this. So if anyone can help me to find a good deal on either motor I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx for any help

well if you can only spend 2000 i would say the CA becaus eit is cheaper...would you be doing the swap yourself?

yeah ca18 is your best intrest. after you buy the engine, it'll only take you about another grand for install

Yes I will be doing the install myself. I was leaning more towards the ca because i haven't seen any( especially in a s14) in my area.I was checking into a place called venus-auto. Has anyone dealt with them before? I odn't know what their reputation is, so any advise is appreciated.

Yeah I am still waiting on a reply from Dauntt'. Venus-auto has replied, they are selling front clips for 1500 plus 300 for shipping to pennsylvania. I think that daunttless includes the upgraded manifold to fit the sr turbo but i still have to wait for him to get back to me. Plus i think i trust him more than this venus-auto.

Well i bought a KA with 6,000 miles from a friends salvage yard for $600. So i can continue to save towards the swap, although i am considering a turbo KA over the CA. to many decisions!

Venus-auto does not sell clips for 1500 anymore. that was pre-five-zillion-magazine-articles-on-240sx-with-sr20det era.

I just emailed them today and the replied that they are getting one in this week, but maybe they didn't have any when you were lookin', unless they are full of **** and just tryin to screw someone over. *shrug*
