Motor swap options for '90 240sx...

Hello all. I have a '90 240 sx coupe, and am starting to explore motor swap options. From what I've heard around town, its a little tougher to swap the sr20 into the SOHC cars, as they don't have the mounting points for the intake, ecu, wiring harness, or intercooler like the 91 and up s13's. Is this true? How much more difficult is an sr20 swap in the 89-90 s13's? Also what is involved with swapping in a turbo KA24DE into the single cam cars? My target horsepower mark is between 250 and 280 at the wheels, and I'm pretty sure i can get that with a properly built turbo KA24DE. will that be easier and less expensive? Any advice is appreciated!

If your looking for that hp range why not just turbo your ka24e? I mean if you piece it together, its probably your cheapest and easiest solution.. I mean sure the de, and sr breathe better, but you only need to worry about that if you plan on building a super engine... Why put a 2.0 engine in your car when you already have a 2.4?? You dont see honda guys and toyota guys throwing smaller engines in there cars do you??? lots of people on these forums have 0 love for the ka, especially the kae, but do some research and you will find out, its not that bad of an engine

for the 90 you have the following bolt on options. ka24de, and the sr20det. They're bolt ins and some wiring.
