The QR20 will swap into a Spec V with few hassles. It's not as powerful as the QR25, but the engines are half the cost and seem to be pretty reliable. That being said it is first and foremost an economy motor, and people who have done the swap say the 6-speed gearing doesn't feel right with the underpowered motor.
If your starting to get/ already have precat failure and don't have the $2,000 for another QR25, then the QR20 might be worth it if you just daily your car. Performance wise, don't get the QR20 and instead look into tuning your existing 2.5L or a VQ35 swap from a Maxima is a popular choice.
