Hey, what sr20 has the smoothest power band? I am building a motor for drifting and a smooth powerband would be great. Also how many people rebuilt thier motor befor swaping it, is it worth it to rebuild or were the motors good when you got it? Last question, is thier any reson why not many people show love for s14 motors is vvt really a bad thing?

They all have smooth powerbands. Depending on who you get your engine from and how well it is installed there should be no need for a rebuild. The S14 is just more expensive and a little more hassle than the S13 SR. Its a fine engine but for the money you might want to just get the S13 SR in case you blow one up or something.
