motor opinion help

ok i have a ka24e and im debating what to do

1 the usual sr20 2 ka24de-t

well anyways my point is how reliable is the kat? and how much will it cost me in total? just by parts ill be doing the swap my self. what will i have to do to make the kat reliable to drive around withou blowing the motor? like internal parts and stuff like that. any suggestion on what is a good way to go and have a lil power. thanks any help will be great
