do a quick search and you'll find ton's of opinions on oil...here is mine. Use a good synthetic like Royal Purple. Change the oil along with the filter every 5k miles or 4 months.

Read this for tons of info:

Yup lots of opinions here on oil.

Here is what I use

Prices may be a little higher now but I always buy whatever is on sale. I change my own oil every three to four thousand miles. I just gave my G its 38th oil change last Saturday.
When reading the link that Joe provided pay particular attention regarding sludge. This can occur with expensive oils as well as cheaper 5W-30 API approved oils.

Yep, wide variety.

I'm running Mobil 1 full syn, 10w30 (may switch back to 5w30 for winter) and OEM filter. $22 for 5 quart jug at Walmart. Changing every 3,500 miles.

Yeah i did the search before i posted and just so many different options came up that i wondered if there is a main brand that everyone uses. my brother who is a tech at Acura said that the Moblie1 full syn is pretty much the best one to get.

Have been very please with Mobil 1 syn over the years.
I change it every 3 to 3.5K miles.
I use only the OEM long filter, M1, or WIX.
