okay after about two months i finally got the sr20det black top (s13 chassis ) to where i can start her up.... so far the motor cranks but won't start....

my vaccume lines are not all hooked up since i'm still trying to see where everthing goes....... a few of the ka harness plugs are not used till trying to make sure which one it is......

first try all the motor does is crank , my only guess right now is that when i changed the oil pump i had to take out the distributor? not sure what its called since i don't think sr's have distributor.... is there suppose to be a way to set this thing before it gets put back in? .......

was wondering if anyone has an engine bay shot with good views of vaccume lines and ground wires.....

you need to check the crank angle sensor and make sure its in time, do you have any fuel comming out of the injectors?

crank angle sensor? only sensor i remember taking out was the cam angle sensor and the crank pulley...... i think i rotated the gear on the cam angle sensor after removing it, is there suppose to be a way you line the gear up when you install it?....

sorry for the newbie questions, im not familar with nissan's and sr's so this is a learning curve for me....

I don't think you do but I'm not positive....I have a Q45 ignitor and it doesn't have any sensors wired into the harness.

reason i ask is because some one had a drawn diagram and it shows that it is used but then some people say that they don't use it...... i followed the lines that get hooked to the two sensors and its all vacume lines.. is the purpose of this for emissions? i don't want to take it off not knowing its function or purpose for the car to operate normal....

thanks.....
