When I extracted my engine a couple months back I found that both Motor mounts were broken, meaning my engine was basically 'sitting' in it's place, and I drove my truck like a sports car, and now I'm having to pull the engine, any correlation? Any ways just want your thoughts on how to replace them, one friend who's big into drag racing says make solid mounts but I've never been a big fan of motels and I don't want to be driving around like I'm in a bed with a quarter fed vibrator, as in the bed.

Any thoughts on how to go about fabricating some up with a rubber element too.
