I am trying to swap a s13 redtop into my 90 240 and i had to replace th motor mounts. I went to autozone to get new ones and they said the engine mounts that I bought fit the right and left the same. Is this true? the part they gave me was anchor 8296. And will they fit myon my sr20. Thanks for any help.

yeah, they are the same, the only difference is the heat shields on the left side will only fit correctly on one of the mounts. So if you don't use the heat shield on the left mount, the mounts are exactly the same.

Congrats, getting the mounts into the crossmember is one of the hardest parts of the swap (in my experience).

Use a crow bar to pry the mounts into the crossmember. Took about 10 minutes to get lined up and bolted down on my swap. We had an engine hoist though.

What I did was loosen the nuts on the mounts while they were on the engine so they would wobble around a bit. Then as I dropped it in, I had two friends move them around before the engine went completely down. After that, I tighted the top up and put in the two bottom nuts.
