motor mounts bad!?

Ok... in my 90' SOHC i just replaced the head gasket and put everything back where it was supposed to be... i needed to install new motor mounts because it shook pretty bad, but im only 17 and don't have the income for a new set of motormounts and don't know where to find Shore Eurethane. But i tried to put a new oil filter on after the engine was all back together, and the passengerside motormount is in the way! is it just because the motor mount is bad and the engine is sagging? or is there a way i can move that little bracket thing a little bit, to just squeeze the oil filter in? need feedback, thanks!:help
