motor mount?

i just got my 1992 nissan sentra se r and its stuck in first gear and i was told it was my back motor mount when i try to pull it out of first the whole engine moves i need to know if it could be anything else?

A broken rear mount will cause this problem as it mis-aligns the shift linkage. Trying jacking up the rear of the motor slightly and see if it will come out of gear. If so, then that is the problem, if not you have an internal problem.

I recently had the rear mount rattle loose and could not shift as well. I replaced the bolts and it now is working great
