i know nismo mounts are great,
but are there any other mounts out there that are good for cheaper?

circuit sports sells them for around 85.

should i just go with nismo?
or are there any cheaper reputable mounts out there that i can feel comfortable with using?

looking for poly urethane mounts btw.

thanks in advance for any input

Why Not OEM? Mounts get worn out over time. New ones I assume will have new rigidity yet softer than aftermarket solid mounts. I have Not done this so just throwing this out there as a option

I thought about that.
But I figured oem parts from nissan would be just as much, if not more.

Home made? Not reputable but you cant go wrong for $40 and stiffer then OEM but not so solid to cause vibrations...

Go with the Nismo mounts, for $215 shipped i got a full set, both motor mounts plus trans from Performance Nissan of Duarte and they are great. Comprably, OEM are $114 a piece, and O'Reilly ones were $86 with my discount, for the money, nismo is the way to go, you will hate your car with solid mount, i have had them in the past, and on a DD, they are way too stiff, the whole car shook at idle and it just wasnt near as nice as my Nismo's are. Way better than stock, very functional feeling, but not kill yourself stiff

JGS tools has them. I would definitely trust their quality.

$100 for rubber
$120 for poly

Here's the link. Go to the KA turbo parts section. You have to scroll down.

Sean,
I wouldn't go with solid motor mounts. I hear there is WAYYY too much vibration. Besides, if you REALLY want to do this, there are some write ups for people who have used hockey pucks and made their own.

Many people run solid motor mounts and a factory/poly trans mount with no complaints.

Yeah, sure it's gonna vibrate, but I guess it's not bone crunching.

I would go for the oem ones personally but if you want something stiffer at a good price, get the JGS ones.

Those are solid so you will have a lot of vibration.

I actually just installed stock mounts filled with polyurethane. The response is great but even that has more vibration than I want, so I may end up chiseling it out and staying stock. I think Nismo is the way to go if you have the $$ to spend. If you're trying to go on the cheap I'd probably stay stock.

You should search this topic on zilvia. There are a bunch of threads on motor mounts there and there's a guys who sells mounts he makes that look really nice.

I used Project Silvia mounts on a buddies car, they are great REAL stiff. Great quality too and are identical to Kazama/Cusco.

I bought these pretty good custom made motor mounts that this guy Drift Freq over on zilvia makes. Good price, plus you can get a nismo transmission mount from him too. Little if any vibrations in the cabin, and the mount keeps the motor very still compared to the OEM mounts. My ride quality has seemed to improve too, smoother I guess....

Yep, those are the ones I was referring to. If I'd had the cash I would have gotten them.
