motor locked up

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

can some one tell me how to unlock it. my friend told me to try putting a little bit of oil in the cylinders and the try to turn it over with a break over bar. are there any other ways then this if it dont work

oil in the cylinders, probably not so helpful.

a little more information would be helpful, is the motor seized up? Because rather than worrying about turning it over, you should probably worry about taking that pile of metal out.

Or are your valves hitting your pistons, because thats no fun either.

However, if you are really set on turning this motor over for some reason, you need one 27 mm socket i believe, one big breaker bar, and possibly one large pipe to put on the end of that bar for a little more leverage.

Spun bearings don't even make the motor impossible to turn over, i'm really curious to know what you did to yours

thanks for the info, what happend was the previous owner let it overheat it and he said it just stop and wouldnt turn over or nothing, so i guess it might be siezed up. i

if the previous owner let the motor "heat up" to the point that it is now locked up, ill bet money that it is now USELESS!!!!. when a motor heats up enough to not move anymore important pieces tend to weld themselves together. Youre honestly better off just going down to your local junk yard and shelling out the $300 bucks it costs for a used KA. Bearings spin, pistons lock up and score the crap out of the bores, bottom line nasty stuff causes motors to sieze....have fun trying to "break it free"....
