So after a long time away I finally got the CA mounted. Not fully installed yet but mounted. After a long year of trying to get a couple of guys to finish this up finally decided the only way it was going to get done was do it myself. Other things are slowing this down like me becoming a father nine months ago, the Germans taking forever to finish up my garage, and buying a house. So happy it is finally sitting on its own I had to post.

It will mostly remain stock with the exception of a few mods. Not trying to get crazy as some of you guys are doing as I have always been happy with its performance with mild mods and its reliability. New driveshaft fit perfectly, got the lightweight flywheel in and the cusco clutch.

Can't wait to get it running because I miss the ol'CA

Still needs a ton of work but here you go.

One of these will go in the other AE86

Good work man.

Awesome looking AE, it's so clean and perfect choice of wheels for it. They suite it perfectly.

P.S. Nice FJ.

Holla! That is one nice looking Levin. So minty fresh!

For the other 86, chuck in that S52 (or whatever it is) and twin screw supercharge it.

The AE86 was a seven year search (not so easy to find over here in Germany). Had a bunch of plans on which motor was going to go in it, but the CA has been a super reliable motor for me so it was an easy decision to make.

The BMW motor only cost me 140 bucks it is only a 2.5 but 192 hp.

M50/M50TU - Straight 6 DOHC 24V/Straight 6 DOHC 24V with Single VANOS. 1989-1998. 136kg 299lbsUsed in E36 320i/325i, E34/39 520i/525i, Variation of this was used in the Early US E36 M32.0 (150bhp), 2.5 (192bhp), 3.0 (240bhp) Sometimes referred to as S50US. Engine shares more common parts with M50 than Euro S50, but is a motorsport engine.

I do have to THANK TMS for some of the parts on this car. THANKS MAN!!

Wow. And FJ. Just WOW! It's a 20, right? I would gladly give up my CA AND my S14 for an FJ. Those motors are SOOO sweet.

My vote is obviously for the FJ, but I'm a bit biased, lol.

Thanks everybody. It has been a long time, I am just hoping I can get this thing fired up soon. I miss the CA .

Yeah the FJ is a 2.0. It is a NA though but when I saw it for sale I jumped all over it. Cost me 500 euros with the transmission and three hours round trip but the harness has been chopped off. I have been looking for a new harness for a long time but it just hasn't popped up yet. Once I get a harness I have plans for it. Something old school

Why not run a standalone. Mega Squirt can be done for pretty cheap now.

Good ol TMS has been throwing that at me for awhile now too. I have to do more research on the setup but I know many of you have had great success with it. We will see as the FJ project is a long way away. Plus I have to ask somebody for some favors with regards to getting this thing rebuilt. Not something I like to do but FJ parts in Germany are pretty non-existent.

Thanks man! I am going to have to bother you soon for some goodies if you are still in the biz and still don't mind .

Also thanks on the fatherhood thing, it has been an awesome 9 months so far and yet another reason why projects are sitting around here.
