It has taken for ever, but when its all said and done it will be worth it. Hopefully not to much longer, since the harness is all done, and the shop pretty much needs to drop the motor in, then trouble shoot any bugs they may have. Then they have a bunch of tiny stuff like intercooler, gauges, safc2, and profec b to put in, but hopefully wont take to long. Here are a couple pics of the progress, and i might get it back friday, but i strongly doubt it. When i get it back, i will post dyno's graphs, and installed pics.Ps* people with a slow connection beware, these pics are pretty big.

i dont think anything. It leaks oil pretty bad. I think its the crank seal, and definatly needs valves ajusted/replaced. But motor only has 60xxx miles on it, but last 5 thousand miles or so was very hard on it because i knew i was gettin an sr, and i sprayed the **** out of it. I dunno if you, or anyone would want it.

ohh your 240 is in off road 4x4 mode also. I think i will leave out my safc for a little while until I get the motor running pretty well, or elese there will more to trouble shoot if it doesn't.

I have a quick question about using the S-AFC, sorry to ninja the post but, a friend recently said to me that he dosn't like to use the S-AFC on cars with the SR because the ECU directly controls the engine timing. So what he said is that since the S-AFC modifys the ECU signal, you could end up with an engine with crap timing. Is this true? Chris

My ka will be available by the end of the month if you or anyone is interested. I put it up for sale in the "buy/sell/trade" section (NICO). It's a '97 ka24 w/auto transmission for sale. It has ~93500 miles on it and in good condition.

- motor- automatic transmission (w/overdrive!!) :) - ecu- lower wiring harness- injectors

I'm asking $400 + shipping. Shipping will approx. $200+

Thanks for looking!Brian

AFC only modifies the air flow signal. So you trick the ECU into thinking there's this much air coming in, so it'll only dump the proper amount into the cylinders. There's nothing with timing associated with the AFC, just air flow signal manipulation.

Hey, is this Chris from CCN. We have met before. My name is Jon, friends with Chris at ISC (maroon S13). I'm getting ready to drop my SR too. I also know two other people in this area who have swaps. When you and I finish, we should all compare and go for a cruise. Give me a call so I could come check it out.

Hey Brian, you're on this post too. We should go meet up with Chris and check his swap out. The car is dope. Right on Main St in downtown Downers next to White Hen. I'll talk to you soon.
