both motors are the ka24de i believe, 1 car is standard how the other is auto. would there be much of an issue swapping the auto motor into the current standard transmission car?

HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM what do u mean.... standar? u mean manual? 5-speed?...... lol :P ok if ur moving the automatic engine into the manual car then ur gonna get HELL cause u gotta change wiring ecu, blablalbalbalbal, i dont think its worth it, wait for more feedback, if its the other way around, manual engine to automatic, its some work but its done, plenty of documentation on that, sticky up there in this same section! but auto to manual car is kindda hard...

If you are just swapping the manual engine for the automatic engine I don't think you will have much trouble, but if you are putting the auto transmission with it you might.

Anyway, if were are talking about swapping roughly the same year auto engine only into a manual car there should be no wiring changes at all.I.e. an 13 KA24DE engine into another S13 or a S14 engine into another S14. Swapping an S13 engine into a S14 or vice-versa will be where you will have wiring issues.

You will however have to swap the engine backing plate and the flywheel from the standard engine to the auto. You will also have to pull out the auto pilot bushing from the crankshaft and replace it with a new one for a standard. My current engine came out of an Auto Kouki, its not that difficult. Swapping the transmissions is another matter.

yeah both of these vehicles ar3 1993 s13 240sx Hatch. obviously 1 5-speed with an.. ok motor. and the other is automatic with a freshly rebuilt motor. however my auto 240 has a frame as structured as a bridge made of cotton candy and crackers. so im using the other cars shell.

While you are doing this, be sure to take the opportunity to check out the cooling system, clutch, master cylinders, and motor mounts in the recipient car.

Encryptshun is right, now's the best time to check over everything so you can prevent doing it later. A couple more things to add to encryctshun's list are: vacuum lines, egr, pcv, and all those other emissions and idle things.
