motor for sale?

my motor is just about gone at this point. im wondering if anyone has a CA motor (just the motor now the harnesses or anything else required for a swap) for sale. i just wanna get this old one out and put one in thats in better condition. hopefully price would be less than a rebuild so then i would definatly try to snatch it up

I can get you one for about $600 minus the transmission and electrics, but what's wrong with your motor?

i still gotta check to see if the compression on all cylinders are constant but with the time i had i checked the compression on my first cylinder and it was at 125 and oil it coming out where the valve cover and block meet at the 3rd cylinder on the exhaust side

also after only 10-20 miles my new spark plugs had a good thing layer of carbon on em. and she putters, seems like a cylinder is misfiring so it could be alot of things. im thinkin piston rings cause the guy we bought it from was running it really dry on oil. theres also a ticking sound, i think somewhere in the coils ive got electricity arcing somewhere but it could also be a valve

also is there a way i can check the timing without having to go through the mess of doing the same thing as actually timing it?

It could be just a bad coil pack or two. Don't condemn your engine until you've done all the tests needed to determine that indeed the engine has physical issues.
