this is how it looks at TDC, i didnt make any adjustments. think a previous owner could have messed it up?

Looks OK. The #1 cylinder intake and exhaust cam lobes should be pointing away from each other.

Those marks will only once in a blue moon line up perfectly. If your car was running well befor, you have no reason to think that the cam timing is off.

It looks fine to me, you can make those marks line up when you put it all back together and your good to go.
