First of all sorry for the noob questions about hardbodys.

Do the hardbody trucks and 240sx have the same engine mounting points. Also, do the hardbodys have the same 5 speed transmission as the 240sx?

Thanks!

The engine mounts are the same as far as I know. Even the SR20 uses the same exact motor mounts, as far as I know.

A guy who swapped in an SR said they were the same, and that info is right in the SR swap sticky at the top of our trucks forum.

The 240sx and HB have the same model transmissions, but I hear that there are sensors located in different places. But yes, they are both FS5W71C. I haven't compared them firsthand, so I can't really say from experience. Even the shifters might be in different locations, but IDK for sure.

Gear ratios are also different. There is even aftermarket gear sets available to raise first gear so 1st thru 3rd is really close for track driving.

I'm pretty sure the bellhousings on the transmissions are the same, but the 240 transmission is a little longer.
